Silhouettes against the sunset

It is as though the sun wants us to remember its glory even after darkness falls. The darkest hour is just before dawn, but the most colorful hour is just before darkness. And even though the Milky Way, shooting stars, and constellations can entertain us with their beauty, they cannot compete, for their image is simply due to a reflection of light from the sun. What a wonderful gift. On a spring morning after the sun rises into the sky, that sunlight gives sparkle to all the dew on each plant. That sunlight gives maternal warmth to my shoulders and back. And then, at the end of the day, if we take the time to watch, we are given a glorious reminder of how lucky we are to be here.
